Amanda Green

Amanda is a Tony-nominated lyricist/composer, and award-winning performer. She is currently writing An Americain Boy with Olivier Award winning composer Richard Thomas (Jerry Springer, The Opera) directed by Leigh Silverman (Violet, Well). Broadway: Addt’l lyrics, On The Twentieth Century revival; Hands On A Hardbody (lyrics, co-composer) Tony Award Nomination Best Score & 2 Drama Desk Award (lyrics, music) Nominations; also 2013, Bring It On,Drama Desk  Nomination w/ co-lyricist Lin Manuel Miranda, Tony nomination Best Musical; Amanda was the first woman awarded the Frederic Loewe Award form the Dramartists Guild for Outstanding Composition of a Musical Score for her music for Hands On A Hardbody. 2006 High Fidelity (lyrics). TV: Amanda wrote additional lyrics Peter Pan Live! NBC; special lyrics for Martin Short, Kennedy Center Honors, CBS., Larson Award. DG Council Member. Board member The Lilly Awards Foundation. As a cabaret performer she has won 2 MAC Awards and a Bistro Award; she has  performed in plays and musicals Off Broadway and regionally.
