Pat Addiss
Pat Flicker Addiss is a native New Yorker. She majored and graduated with honors in Costume Design and Merchandise at Finch College. As a single parent of 3 children, she started Pat Addiss Enterprises , a premium promotion company. She ran it for 30 years til she gave it to her lawyer daughter Wendy, who still runs it from Virginia, so she could pursue a career as a Broadway Producer. 19 shows later and one movie, she has become an activist in female issues and parity. Pat has Made a conscious decision to make a difference. Everyone should give back!! Dear to her heart is GIRL BE HEARD which empowers young girls to tell their own stories about Rape, Trafficking, Homelessness, Bullying, Cutting, etc through song , dance and acting. We have transformed many lives here and as ambassadors throughout the world. After 3 years on the Board of the League of Professional Theatre Women, she is co chair of Oral History at Lincoln Center Performing Arts Library. She has mentored many girls that have become her poster children. It is important that women understand 50/50 in 20/20. I must say that the awareness has gained momentum thanks to panels like Good To Go , the Coalition of Women In the Arts( on the Advisory Board), The Women’ s Theatre Festival in DC, etc. Pat is on the Boards of NJ Rep and Girl Be Heard.
